Great News

Ed's biopsy came back clear – no cancer cells.  We're so thankful, especially after all he's been through before.  Now we have to let his body heal so he doesn't have as much pain. It's still tough for him to pull himself up out of bed or a chair but he's working on it.  It doesn't help that his back is hurting from laying flat for such a long time and the knees are acting up, too.

I was concerned about him still being so groggy and talked to the nurse about it.  He said after a discussion with the doctor and talking with Ed, they feel it's just from the surgery, the pain, the meds and not sleeping well at night.

He won't be home Saturday since he hasn't been able to pass gas or have a bowel movement, so we're looking at Sunday or possibly Monday.  He has to be able to do either one of those things, plus eat some solid food before he can go home.
