Crazy Port

A quick post to let everyone know I'm doing better today.  After three days of only discomfort with the port site, I ended up going to the ER in an ambulance on Friday.  Any slight movement caused a sharp stabbing pain that wouldn't subside and Ed finally convinced me I needed to go. With no specific diagnosis, it was determined there is probably a blood blister near the port 'button' that gets aggravated when I move.  After drugs and rest, it feels better this morning but not quite totally healed yet.  It will take time and I have lots of that.

Today we see the oncolgist and will know when chemo starts, and tomorrow…. sound the trumpets….. the drainage tube will come out.  It was supposed to happen Friday morning but I took a little side trip instead!
