Surgery

Ed’s surgery was at 10:00 this morning, a little later than planned. It took about an hour, then an hour in recovery and another hour or so back in his little cubicle. He did great! He will be able to be up and around in a few days… he doesn’t need crutches, or physical therapy. They repaired the cartilage and don’t anticipate any problems.

It is after 6:00 now and he is getting his first twinge of pain, since the novacaine is wearing off. He hasn’t slept or been out of it, so he is on his way to getting better much faster than we thought.

Tim and Kim spent the time with me at the hospital, then helped to get him home and settled. I don’t know what I would do without them.
