Happy Friday

Spent the evening with Tim and Kim and had a wonderful time…. as we always do when we are with them. Their home is beautiful and there is a warm, welcome feeling whenever we are there. We munched on subs and chips and talked about a lot of things. Tim mixed up a few new drinks for us to try and the men retreated to the TV room and the women whipped out the material, pattern, scissors and pins to attempt to create a toaster cover. The men cheered at the game and the women laughed and had a good time cutting and pinning…. and ta dah…. we had a toaster cover. It’s such fun helping and being a part of this new family.
Tim then made a Snickertini that was the best by far…. even better than the original Cottage one.
It’s so much fun to watch Tim and Kim working together and helping each other… I am so proud of both of them.
Kim and I talked about the Celebration of Life planned for Dave and how difficult that day will be. The reality of him being gone is starting to set in, and it is understandable that it’s more emotional for Tim and Kim.
We were all in the TV room where Tim showed us the newest addition to the entertainment equipment…. a single remote that controls everything…. even lights. He is always up on the newest items on the market.
We watched two episodes of Futurama and laughed through the whole thing…. think I’m hooked now and have to set it on my Tivo – ah, Tivo, another finding of Tim’s…. how did we ever live without it.
Hugs and kisses and the return home which is still a little sad without Sauerkraut. It is getting easier, but we miss our little friend.
