What a weekend
Did a lot this weekend, and it was perfect weather. Saturday morning was cold, but as soon as the sun came out, it was beautiful. Hit a few tag sales and found some bargains, then stopped at Tim and Kim’s to see the newly painted hall. It was a gorgeous red color that really ‘popped’ the room. Kim has this awesome ‘free spirit’ in decorating. She sees the blends and colors in her minds eye – and then puts it all together…. and it works! Tim has become quite the handyman, and seems to enjoy tinkering and fixing. His grandfather would be so proud. Every time we round the bend to pull up in their driveway I get teary eyed at the beauty of the house and the surroundings. May it always be a happy home for them.
Watched the Bristol council meeting that was on TV. The mayor of Bristol presented an award to Dave’s mom and dad, and repeated, several times, what a special young man Dave was, and how much they would miss him. It will be presented to a volunteer each year. It is a wonderful way to keep Dave’s memory alive.
It will be a busy week at work, but I’ll be focused on our trip to Pittsburgh. I’m getting excited about it now since it’s only a few days away. Looking forward to seeing my brother and sister, and Ed’s family. We will spend Sunday with Ed’s sister Kris where all of the family will gather to celebrate the holiday. It will be a nice way to get to see everyone in one place.
