The Sisters

We had a wonderful visit with Joan, Linda, Kris and Kathy. They arrived in CT on Saturday and from the time they unpacked, we hit the road running – well, maybe walking!

Saturday we spent the evening at the condo eating, drinking, talking, laughing and playing Wii.

Sunday we made our yearly trip to the Christmas Tree Shop and found a lot of great bargains. That evening we went to Tim and Kim’s and visited with Mike and Rosanne. We shared more food, drinks, talk and laughter. Then we played Wii and Rock Band.

Monday morning we left for our two night stay at Foxwoods. After settling in and admiring the beautiful rooms, we headed for the casino. That afternoon Kim brought Mike, Rosanne and Aunt Florence to the casino to spend some time together. It was a fun day, but no one came back to the room with any extra dough.

Tuesday back to the casino to try our luck again. A few of us won a little, but ended up putting it all back. Joan, Kris and Kathy went to the bingo in the evening but didn’t have any luck there either.

Wednesday it was time to check out and head to Mystic Seaport and Mystic Village. Kris and Kathy took the tour at the Mystic Seaport and really enjoyed it. We also found a few good bargains at Mystic Village.

All too soon it was time to head back home (CT) and talk about all that we did. Even though we weren’t lucky in winning money, we all realize how lucky we are in having great family and friends.

It seemed like we counted the days for such a long, long time and now it is all over until next year.
