Ed’s Scan

We still don’t have a firm diagnosis, but the doctor’s suspicion has always been that it’s lymphoma.  The scan showed swollen lymph nodes again in his stomach and chest so they will do a PET scan on Tuesday to determine where they are and which ones they will biopsy. The tricky part for Ed is that he has to come off the blood thinner for them to do that procedure and now we learn he has a blood clot in the right side of his heart.  Apparently that’s been there and they don’t feel it’s a concern at this point.  Until the biopsy, we don’t know what type of lymphoma we are dealing with – there are so many different ones.

Ed really enjoys reading all of the comments and it lifts his spirits to know so many are thinking of him and praying.
