Sunday – Doing Much Better
Ed's had a few meals of solid food and is tolerating all of it just fine and waiting for the exit of it – but nothing yet. They may move him from this room since he doesn't need to be monitored as closely as before. He's feeling okay and even took a few spins around the hall and sat in the family room for a while. They've been hesitant to start him on blood thinner because of the concerns about bleeding, but as I'm writing this (at 3:00 pm) they are giving him IV Heparin. His body is still retaining some fluid and they are giving him Lasix to draw that out – which means the urinal has been used quite often and filled to the brim.
He hasn't had any transfusions at all and the blood counts are holding their own, so they don't feel there's any bleeding going on.
We've relaxed a little and will relax even more when he is home.
Once again – the power of prayer and the angels by his side helped him through this. Thank you, everyone, we can feel the love no matter how many miles may separate us.
