Another Update

Kimberly called me at work after spending a couple of hours with Ed. She said he was very uncomfortable and said he didn’t feel right…. and she could see it in his eyes. When I saw him in the afternoon I had to agree. No matter how he tried to sit – he was uncomfortable. He would sit, stand, walk around and when he tried to lay back – the ‘spasms’ would start. He looked pale and didn’t want to talk or move around too much.

He got a breathing treatment, and for about an hour after that he looked good. He was talking and joking and watching the game, but that only lasted an hour and a half – then he was back to feeling uncomfortable. We thought the spasms he was experiencing right after the surgery was from the fluid in the lungs, but they are still happening.

The doctor said all of the tests are normal… no fluid in the lungs, no fluid around the heart, his oxygen level is 100%, his blood counts are higher than when he left the hospital, and he doesn’t have a fever. So, with all of that, he will probably be home tomorrow.

No answers as to what is causing his discomfort, but as all of the Lynchs will attest to – it’s not surprising.
