I’m Blessed
Hello everyone! I’m back and feeling really good. Truly thought I would be bedridden for a few days, but I feel like I’m ready to mop a floor or two! Haven’t needed any pain meds, but the Oxy’s are handy if I need them.
The pathology report said they removed more tumor which was part of the original one. The margins were clear this time. Out of the eleven lymph nodes removed, only two showed cancer cells. There will be no further surgeries and the next step is to get a schedule set up for the chemo.
There isn’t a doubt in my mind that all the thoughts and prayers helped to keep me safe and on my way to getting better. It doesn’t hurt to have personal angels watching over everything either.
Thank you to so many people in my life who’ve helped to keep my spirits high. Can’t name everyone because I’m sure I would leave someone out. All of you know who you are and how you’ve helped. I’ll never forget the outpouring of love and the precious video.
Thanks to Ed and Tim for keeping everyone in the loop by either phone or the journal. Thanks to Kim for not only spreading love throughout the condo on the day I came home but, also, for having flowers sprouting from every room.
I will admit it was an emotional time when I first saw my incision and my missing body part. It was a brief moment of sadness and then I moved on.
Life is good!
