Chemo #1

Had a blood test, saw Dr. Hong and was cleared to start chemo.  Three hours later, I'm home and feeling okay.  My nurse was Kathy, who I remembered from Ed going through all his treatments.  She explained everything as she was doing it and let me know what to expect in the days and weeks to come. Tomorrow I get the shot to boost my white cell count and then have two weeks to rest up and get ready for Chemo #2.

Even after all the pain and trouble with the port, I'm thankful it was there.  Thanks Kris!  Not knowing what to expect is always the most difficult, but if all the treatments go as well as this one – I'm golden!!!

I know all of you have been with me every step of the way and I appreciate everything that everyone has done.  I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for all of you.
