Chemo #4 – Half Way There
Today was another breeze as far as everything went well and I was home in 3 hours. No unexpected happenings, so we can chalk off the first four treatments as done and move on to the last four. Since the last two treatments were only at 50% strength, even though I knew the answer, I asked if it was protecting me. She said it was better than not getting any treatments, or holding off treatments because I wasn't tolerating them well. These last four will be given over 6-8 hours each time, so that will be interesting.
I'm getting used to the bumps, lumps and flat terrain on parts of my body and not feeling the tears welling up in my eyes. Oh yes, and even seeing my crazy bald head staring back at me in the mirror. It truly is amazing what the human body can endure and how it heals.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday and are looking forward to this new year with promise of good things to come. Thank you to everyone for keeping me in their thoughts and prayers and for encouraging me and continually overwhelming me with your love.
Love you
Linda
