Chemo #7

No emergencies this time!  No fire alarm, no allergic reations just a nice, calm and peaceful day.  All of the pre-meds the night before and the meds given today worked to keep any reaction from happening and I’m grateful.  The only problem was, I slept through most of it and wasn’t good company for those who were with me. Ed and Kim kept each other busy while I snoozed away…. for me the time went fast but, I’m sure, for them it dragged on and on.

Kim got us there early this morning through a snowy, icy and foggy commute.  Then after 5 1/2 hours at the hospital we hit rush hour traffic through a pouring down rain…. she did a great job!  And…. she packed another bag of lunch goodies for all of us and a special bag for the nurses.  She’s amazing and we love her.  Tim will be coming to my very last treatment in two weeks and it will be a celebration – a quiet celebration!

My nurse, Sheila, asked if we saw her picture in the hallway. It’s the first time they’ve ever awarded Employee of the Month.  She was so thrllled and said it meant more to her because it was given because two of her patients wrote such good things about her.

Here is a picture Kim took of the large poster with her picture and the two items sent to the Oncology Center for her….. the pink one is mine.
They’re impossible to read but they both complimented her on her professionalism and the way she cares for us.  As Kim said, she saved my life twice.

My love and appreciation to every one who has been keeping me close in their hearts.  I could never put into words how much it means to know so many are caring about me.

Now we move on to the very last one and know we’ve made it this far.

Love you all
Linda
