They can't seem to get the fever to come down… it fluctuates between 101 & 102. He started getting antibiotics last night and throughout the day today but whatever 'bug' is in there is a tough one. He is also dealing with his back, which Dr. Ed thinks is a muscle and nothing to do with his kidneys. Kim went to the hospital this morning to do some Reiki on him and he did…
My brother’s 60th birthday It’s a long story about the wax lips and the 60 hat. When Bruce and I were young we celebrated our birthdays together since they were only 3 days apart. When he was six, we have a movie of him wearing the number ‘6 hat’ I made him and those red wax lips. He was acting so silly on that movie and that’s when I started calling him lips. Many, many…
Kim’s dad, Mike, is doing really well and has adjusted to wearing the oxygen when it is needed. At the beginning he felt he didn’t need it at all, but the doctor convinced him to wear it when he is out and about. Keep up the good work Mike.
At this moment, Tim is on his way to London, yes ‘the’ London. It’s for work, so we’re hoping he has a chance to do a little sightseeing before returning home on Thursday. I said I wouldn’t track his flight on the internet, but I had to take a peek. He was in the air by 10 am and on his way so now I can relax a little.
Kim had a wonderful gathering of women at her home last week. We had such a great time and are always in awe of her decorating talent and the delicious food she prepares. Each year she has a different theme for their Christmas tree and this year it was red and silver. The tree was absolutely gorgeous. The pictures don’t capture the twinkling and the beauty of it.
There are many things to be thankful for in our lives. We are blessed to have a circle of family and friends that are near and dear to us. Tim took this picture of Thanksgiving Day at Rosemary’s. The tradition lives on! Ed is the first one at the table.
The much anticipated trip of the year was a great success. We had so much fun with the sisters and were truly sad to see them head back home. Every year Ed’s sisters Joan, Linda and Kris with a sister from another mother, (as she is called) Kathy make a trip to CT. Kathy has been a friend of the family since they were little kids living on Troy Hill in Pittsburgh. They arrived on…
On May 5th we ventured out on our 3 week whirlwind vacation. The evening before, we had dinner with Tim and Kim at Buffalo Wild Wings which was near the hotel we were staying at overnight. Kim pointed to the window behind me and said “look at the rainbow.” Sure enough there was a beautiful rainbow! The perfect way to start our trip. The next morning we were up bright and early for our flight to…
The year 2011 is here! We can all look back on 2010 with laughter and tears. We had a very nice New Year’s Eve with Kim’s family and they all send their love. Rosanne lit a special candle for Kris and will keep it burning for her. There is much ahead in 2011. As most of you know, I retired on December 30th. It feels strange to know I won’t be logging back into a…
