Bruce & Jody

My brother, Bruce, and sister-in-law, Jody, made a trip from Pittsburgh to visit with us this weekend. We had a great time and caught up on so many things. We enjoyed many laughs watching videos, talking about old times, and spending an evening with Kim’s mom and dad.

Ed’s Best Friend

Ed had a great time in Pittsburgh and at the wedding. He came home with many stories and pictures, so it will take some time to get everything organized and in the journal. So much to report! Now… the most exciting part of Ed’s trip…

Ed – Again

We decided to get away for the weekend and went to a Residence Inn in Manchester (walking distance to the mall) on Friday afternoon. All was ok until 10:00 pm when Ed was having back pain and trouble breathing. We went to the ER at Bristol Hospital where they thought he may have had a blood clot in his lung. After many tests, he was diagnosed with pleurisy. It is a viral infection of the…

Ed – Scar Face

Another Battle Scar Thursday he had a lesion removed from his face and, today, he is doing ok. As you can see from the picture it is quite a long incision. Last month when we met with the surgeon, he said he would need to make a small incision (I would hate to see the large one) to make sure he was able to remove the entire lesion. He has a bruise near his chin…

Sisters Trip, Brother Bob, Pictures and Updates

We had such a great time when the sisters came into town. Joan, Linda, Kris and Kathy arrived in town on Saturday and we sat around eating, drinking and catching up on family. Sunday we had dinner at Tim and Kim’s and were joined by Mike and Rosanne. Later that night we enjoyed the entertainment supplied by Rock Band with Tim on drums, Kim on guitar and vocals along with Joan, Kris, Linda, Kathy and…

Neighbor Phil Funeral

Our last visit with Phil was a difficult one to even think about, but having Tim and Kim with us was a great comfort. Phil had a large family and many who loved him, so when we approached the funeral home we should not have been surprised to see the line going out the door and into the parking lot. At the service, two of Phil’s granddaughters talked about their ‘pepere’s (grandpa’s) life and what…

Our Neighbor Phil

It is with a heavy heart I write that our sweet neighbor, Phil, died yesterday. He made it through the surgery for a triple bypass, but after about 20 minutes in ICU his blood pressure went up and his aorta burst. They were not able to save him. We will miss his friendly face and his funny ways. He was a great friend to Ed and always joked with him and made him laugh. It…

Bob, Ed at Kiniry’s

Ed is doing ok and feeling much better after the staples were removed last week. He has been out and about and back to his normal routine. Thank you, everyone, for your love, concern and prayers. Bob & Jan came to visit over the 4th of July weekend. We were able to spend time with them… talking, eating, visiting at Mike & Rosanne’s, and learning how to make rosaries! Here are a few pictures from…
