In a few days it will be 4 years and 4 months since Ed died. Even typing that doesn’t seem real. Today was a day of feeling surrounded by him and not quite sure why. No matter what I do, or where I go, I still return to my quiet life. Some may be envious that I can come and go as I please. That is true but, in reality, there is often an overwhelming…
Sweet Melinda is 19 years old today. A Build-A-Bear gift from Tim and Kim when they were in Pittsburgh. She has more clothes and shoes than I do, and loves to sit outside my door to greet everyone who walks by. They love her, but not as much as I do. Happy Birthday My MelindaLove MOM
Yesterday, Melinda had minor surgery at Build-A-Bear to have an AirTag (a chip locator thingy) put inside her. Tim bought it a while ago and thought it would be a good idea to help keep her safe. If someone stole her, the AirTag would be able to locate where she is and we would put out an APB. As the picture shows, she is very happy and didn’t need anesthesia even though I did ask…
Melinda wanted to dress up in something special just for her ‘sister’ Kim. Fans of Star Wars know this is Baby Grogu and Kim’s favorite little character. Look closely under Melinda’s arm and you will see the magic wand that Kim made for her many years ago. She carries it with her wherever she goes!
In 1964 Ed and I were married. We found the perfect place for our honeymoon in the Pocono Mountains called Hillside Lodge. It’s no longer there, but I was able to find a few pictures on Facebook and it brought back so many memories. Driving up to it we were very excited, and it looked just like the brochures. We couldn’t wait to get checked in and start the festivities!!! Here it is many decades…
Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year Love Linda, Tim, Kim and Melinda
Neighbors tell me how happy Melinda makes them. She brings joy to them, and to me!
We may not have little ones coming to our door, but Melinda is having fun handing out treats. The candy is slowly disappearing.
